For most of my life, I chased the perfect tan. That meant hours in tanning beds, until I learned what everyone eventually learns: no tan is worth the damage. So I went looking for a better way.

I tried spray tan booths and walked out feeling orange, like I’d just come off a factory line. I tried the big spray tan studios. They offered customization, but my tan faded long before I was ready to let it go.
